Hi, I’m Emma.

  • Kia ora. Welcome.

I’ve spent most of my life telling film stories at home and around the world. Now, it’s exciting to support my friends and clients with their stories through the ceremonies we create together. As an Assistant Director, I’m no stranger to embracing challenges and keeping the day running smoothly, even with a cast and crew of hundreds. I enjoy bringing together all the different people and elements to make the best story.

  • Storyteller.

The MC (Mistress of Ceremony) for friends and family weddings and often asked to speak at funerals. I was encouraged to follow this calling and studied with the Celebrant School. My film experience translated easily, as a friend describes, Emma is “able to communicate what everyone is feeling and help people express themselves. Organiser extraordinaire, no detail not thought of and fleshed out.”

  • Life.

In 2020, I became a mother to my daughter Thea, and I was accepted as a registered celebrant. What a year! A global pandemic, delaying wedding plans and changing life as we knew it.

My favourite ceremony to date has been Thea’s “Welcoming”, created and delivered for her first birthday. Of course, I loved it as her mum! It celebrated and reflected a special person and time in our lives – a terrific memory.

  • Creative Journey

I put creativity into all my work and life. My logo design comes from a drawing style decorating my handmade books. We represent the life cycle in the seed, bloom and leaf to make the icon.

Personal tributes spanning all the cycles of life, with grace and warmth. A passion for listening and weaving stories for heartfelt ceremonies. It would be my honour to craft an experience that reflects you and what you love.

Let’s meet, to get inspired by us working together. Get in touch to check dates, then we’ll catchup in person or online, whatever works best for you.
